Tourism in Russia is down 3.6% compared to the previous year, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The ministry said that from February to May, tourism activity fell by 4.3% while the number of foreign tourists dropped by 8.6%.
The number of visitors dropped by 2.5% in the first quarter of the year compared to a year ago.
Tourism in Russia has been declining since 2013 due to a decrease in foreign tourists.
Russia’s economy was up 4.5 percent in 2016.
